ABOUT ME!
Hey! My name is Diego. I'm a Film and TV Production graduate from USC's School of Cinematic Arts. Originally from a town in the north of Mexico called Saltillo, I moved to the heart of Los Angeles to explore my passion for storytelling through visual mediums. I specialize in film directing and editing.
As an editor, I get excited by the creative and technical sides of the puzzle. I've cut a variety of narrative films, documentaries, commercials, and mixed media projects. Developing character and shaping performances are some of my favorite parts of the job. I am able to provide services in picture editing, color correction, sound editing, and post-production workflows.
As a writer-director, I believe emotional universality is found through personal specificity, aiming to tell stories that reflect my own background and experiences while providing a mirror to worlds and characters not often explored in media.
Professionally, I've had a wide range of internship experiences in various renowned companies. I am a past Production and Development Intern at FilmNation Entertainment (Anora, Conclave, Promising Young Woman) and a current Post-Production Assistant at White Horse Pictures - a music documentary production company set to release the upcoming Fleetwood Mac documentary on Apple TV+.
